final project

My favorite activity is the webquest. It was interesting to create an activity where students can explore a topic, not simply here what the teacher has to offer.
After this course i have become more aware to the fact that using the web in a classroom is important, and it comes with a lot of options. It is also important that we use the web in a way that benefits the students.
In many of the activities that we were required to do, I was required to find varying material and most of what i found will be helpful in the future so i plan to keep them updated.
If there was another program offered for teachers I would attend for it is important to keep up to date on technologies today.

Fransico De Goya

http://www.franciscodegoya.net/

This website offers slide shows, paintings, a biography, and other links that can be used to find more information about the artist.
The website is very appealing and easy to navigate and the information within the page is relevant and will aid the students in their search.

Reina Sofia Museum

http://www.museoreinasofia.es/index_en.html

Again this is another museum that students can explore in search of their artist. This museum tends to be more modern in its art work but still displays a variety of works.

The students can virtually explore the museum and the information is relevant and it is a great resource.

Prado Museum

http://museoprado.mcu.es/

This is the national website for the Prado Museum in Madrid Spain. Most of the artists that are listed before have pieces that can be found in this museum. It is also a great opportunity for the students to see more than just the artists assigned but more modern art.

This is a great website that has more than enough information about the artists and paintings that they display.

Top ten Most Expensive Paintings

http://www.chiff.com/a/painting-top-ten.htm

This is simply a list of the ten most expensive paintings. It is just a bit of information but it is interesting to see what painting of Picasso's is actually valued at the most. The information contained is brief.

I would only use this website as a brief information, as a fun fact. This is not a website to find background info. It is interesting to skim through the paintings that did make the list.

New York Times

http://topics.nytimes.com/topics/reference/timestopics/people/p/pablo_picasso/index.html

This page offers information that would not be found in a biography. The researcher will have to browse for the information is not given straight to you. On the up side it provides a variety of articles on this painter from over the years.

Its a great way for students to explore history about the author without receiving just the basic biography information.

Pablo Picasso

http://www.picasso.com/

This website offers a look at the paintings as well as the life of this artist. The students can explore exhibits about the author as well. Along with each painting there is also commentary about the painting.

This is a great website with great information as well as the ability to explore the paintings of Picasso.

Art in the Picture

http://www.artinthepicture.com/artists/Diego_Velazquez/

This website offers pictures of his paintings as well as quotes from this painter. It also offers a biography of the author. It is very visually appealing to look at and navigate as well.

This is a great site that has it all in respect to what it offers. The information is relevant and does offer more than just pictures of paintings.

Diego Velazquez

http://www.spanish-fiestas.com/art/spanish-artists-velazquez.htm

This page contains a lot of information on the artist. This page also has other connections to travel websites and other information about spanish culture.

This page has relevant information but it should be used with caution.
http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/624772/Diego-Velazquez

This website gives basic information on Diego Velazquez but more research will need to be done to find his paintings and other interesting facts about this painter. This is a starter page to finding information but there is not much information within this website.

Museo Nacional del Prado

http://museoprado.mcu.es/
This is a link to the museum in Madrid, Spain. This website allows the student to take many different tours within the museum. There is more than one artist displayed at this museum so students will have to really look for their artist but is still a great opportunity for students to be exposed to the language as well as different styles of art.

National Gallery of Art

http://www.nga.gov/collection/gallery/gg29/gg29-main1.html

This website allows the students to take a virtual tour of e"el greco's" art work. It also provides background information on this painter. Also it provides links to other websites were his works can be viewed.

This page is a great introduction to this artist. It also is a great link to other websites associated with this painter. I would highly recommend this page.

Fundació Gala-Salvador Dalí

http://www.salvador-dali.org/

This website provides a lot of information about Dali as well as providing other resources to find futher information. This website lists the various museums that you can find Dali's work as well as more background information. Again this website provides links to many of his works as well.

This website is a great resource in its self but it is also a great way to find other links to information about the artist Dali within the website itself. This is definitaly a first stop website.

The Dali Museum

http://www.salvadordalimuseum.org/home.html

This website allows students to view the collections of Salvador Dali, while learning about the history. This is not museum that is home to the body of Dali but is a sneak peak glance at what some of his works are. This website also has programs for a wide range of age levels as well. This museum is based in florida and does offer school tours.

Overall this website is a great introduction to the works of Dali but this website only provides basic knowledge. More exploring will be needed to find more information about Dali but it is a great start.
