final project

My favorite activity is the webquest. It was interesting to create an activity where students can explore a topic, not simply here what the teacher has to offer.
After this course i have become more aware to the fact that using the web in a classroom is important, and it comes with a lot of options. It is also important that we use the web in a way that benefits the students.
In many of the activities that we were required to do, I was required to find varying material and most of what i found will be helpful in the future so i plan to keep them updated.
If there was another program offered for teachers I would attend for it is important to keep up to date on technologies today.

Fransico De Goya

http://www.franciscodegoya.net/

This website offers slide shows, paintings, a biography, and other links that can be used to find more information about the artist.
The website is very appealing and easy to navigate and the information within the page is relevant and will aid the students in their search.

Reina Sofia Museum

http://www.museoreinasofia.es/index_en.html

Again this is another museum that students can explore in search of their artist. This museum tends to be more modern in its art work but still displays a variety of works.

The students can virtually explore the museum and the information is relevant and it is a great resource.

Prado Museum

http://museoprado.mcu.es/

This is the national website for the Prado Museum in Madrid Spain. Most of the artists that are listed before have pieces that can be found in this museum. It is also a great opportunity for the students to see more than just the artists assigned but more modern art.

This is a great website that has more than enough information about the artists and paintings that they display.

Top ten Most Expensive Paintings

http://www.chiff.com/a/painting-top-ten.htm

This is simply a list of the ten most expensive paintings. It is just a bit of information but it is interesting to see what painting of Picasso's is actually valued at the most. The information contained is brief.

I would only use this website as a brief information, as a fun fact. This is not a website to find background info. It is interesting to skim through the paintings that did make the list.

New York Times

http://topics.nytimes.com/topics/reference/timestopics/people/p/pablo_picasso/index.html

This page offers information that would not be found in a biography. The researcher will have to browse for the information is not given straight to you. On the up side it provides a variety of articles on this painter from over the years.

Its a great way for students to explore history about the author without receiving just the basic biography information.

Pablo Picasso

http://www.picasso.com/

This website offers a look at the paintings as well as the life of this artist. The students can explore exhibits about the author as well. Along with each painting there is also commentary about the painting.

This is a great website with great information as well as the ability to explore the paintings of Picasso.
